Activities

Guests can enjoy a delightful array of activities within minutes of the motel. Virtually all the best of Cape Cod is a short walk or drive away.

The Orleans Holiday Motel is at the gateway to the Cape Cod National Seashore. The park contains over 27,000 acres of undeveloped wilderness, including most of the "Lower Cape." In the park are miles of bicycle trails, nature walks and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are also several visitor centers that provide lectures, guided tours and exhibits explaining the natural history of Cape Cod.

You will find beaches, kayaking, canoeing, surfing and other water related activities including some to the best fishing on the east coast. Guests may also enjoy many other outdoor activities such as bird watching, bicycling, hiking, tennis & golf. The Cape Cod area ranks second in the nation in golf courses per capita. Whale watching tours are available in either Provincetown or Barnstable, both only about a 30 minute drive away. Day trips to the islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard are also available from Hyannis. For the rainy day there are indoor activities including museums, movies and summer stock theaters.

The motel is within a short walk of no less than six restaurants ranging from fine dining to take-out fish & chips. In the village center of Orleans, also within a short walk, are banks, numerous shops, several ice cream parlors, bicycle rentals and other services. Across the street is the historic Johnathan Young Windmill, overlooking the Orleans Town Cove. The 18th century windmill has been restored as an example of windmills once common on the Cape.

Whether you're seeking a whirlwind of activity, or just relaxation by the pool, you will find it in your stay at the Orleans Holiday Motel.
